Doncaster Film Club – Mean Girls

Doncaster Film Club – Mean Girls

You know a film is good when its vernacular enters into the common lexicon. The Plastics, the Cool Mom, On Wednesdays We Wear Pink… the list goes on (although the film never did quite make ‘fetch’ happen). These phrases and concepts have come to shape and define what we think of as a ‘teen’ movie.
Written by comedy legend Tina Fey and following in the footsteps of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Dazed and Confused and Clueless, Mean Girls was a modest success upon release and has since developed into a bona fide cult classic beloved by cinema goers of all generations. Watching Mean Girls has become a teenage rite of passage, and its painfully accurate depiction of high school life ensures that it will keep being rediscovered for generations to come.

Come and find out which group you would be sat with at the cafeteria at our screening of Mean Girls on Wednesday the 27th of May.
