The story opens with the wicked enchantress Belladonna placing a curse on Prince Danton, transforming him into a Beast after he rejects her based on her looks. To break the spell, he must earn the true love of another before the last rose of summer withers. In the village of Franglais-Sur-Mer, the kind-hearted Belle is busy dodging the arrogant advances of the local hunk, Gustave, and dealing with her two vain sisters Whitney & Britney. When her father, Alphonse, is captured for picking a rose from the Beasts garden, Belle selflessly takes his place as a prisoner in the enchanted castle.
Guided by the benevolent Flors the Fairy, Belle slowly begins to see the gentleness within the Beast. Meanwhile, the story is packed with comedic subplots, including a chaotic visit to the beauty parlour bun by Marcel & Monique, where Dame Madame Fifi & her son Jacques create slapstick mayhem. The tension peaks as Gustave leads a mob to ‘rescue’ Belle, but her eventual declaration of love for the Beast breaks Belladonnas curse just in time, transforming him back into Prince Danton for a traditional ‘happily ever after’.
