An uplifting play about the experience of growing up neurodivergent and queer in early 2000’s Britain. An imaginative child’s glorious fantasies offer him an escape from hostile reality but he has too make the decision whether to live authentically and risk stigma or continue to hide.

MOTHER– Comforting and compassionate yet brave and firm
FATHER– Assertive. Full of anger and distain
THOMAS– Little brother who is loyal and understanding but at most times overshadowed
MRS WHITEMAN– Stern yet unsure teacher
ABBY– Appears fake and self obsessed but is secretly kind. Lost herself
DOCTOR– Direct, Lacks emotion.
JAKE– Typical high school bully
EMILY– Sharp and shallow high schooler
DANIEL– Kind, compassionate, fun loving and free high schooler
LARA– Confident, self assured, motherly and aware of those around her
ARMY COACH– Aggressive, Lack of emotion
RACHEL– Outgoing
EMILE– High schooler
